After releasing one of the finest debuts of the early 90s, the Charlatans (with the appended UK here in the States) found themselves treading water a bit on the 1992 follow-up Between 10th And 11th. Still, while making no big leaps from Some Friendly, there were some memorable songs in a similar post-Stone Roses Madchester/shoegaze/contemporary dance-psychedelia vein. Opening track "I Don't Want To See The Sights" rocks a bubbly groove that conjures ecstasy and bright flashing lights, more vibe than hooks, but that title refrain still sticks with you.
